Apple Activation Lock status Tool For iOS devices

Now you can check the Activation Lock status of your iOS devices, using newly released tool by Apple. The Activation Lock is a security feature and it first came with the iOS 7. Nobody will be able to erase or activate your iOS device, and to do so anybody has to enter your Apple ID and password first. This feature should be disabled prior to a device is given or sold to someone. The device is useless for the new person, unless you disable the Activation Lock.

With the introduction of this new tool, Apple offers a simple way to check the Activation Lock status of your device. This tool will apparently stop anybody from purchasing a stolen or a lost device, which may be locked. In some cases, the device might be locked, since the previous owner did not remove it from his account.

With iCloud enabled any iOS device, this has been turned on by default. And this security feature has really been admired by law implementation agencies, because it control iPhone thefts in some urban areas.

Go iCloud.com/ActivationLock, then enter the IMEI or Serial Number of your iOS device to check its status. If the iOS device is locked, a message will ask you to submit the current user’s Apple ID and password to activate and use the iOS device.

When Activation Lock is turned off, Apple gives the green light to inform that the device is now ready for set up and use

Activation Lock status of a device could be checked by several other ways. But this tool is very convenient to use. Only thing is that you should know about the existence of this webpage. Nobody knows when Apple made available this tool.
